Bolivia's Vice-Minister of Tourism has announced that his Ministry will ask the Bolivian Cabinet to declare additional year-end public holidays to link the upcoming Christmas Day and New Year's Day non-working public holidays with the preceding week-end.

Last spring (28-Apr-2012), the "Decreto Supremo 1210" had formalized the "on and off" (15-Apr-2011, 27-Apr-2010 and 26-Apr-2007) practice of declaring bridge public holidays around the annual Labour Day public holiday ("El día lunes inmediato anterior al 1º de mayo, en caso de que esta fecha sea en día martes and El día viernes inmediato posterior al 1ª de mayo, en caso de que esta fecha sea en día jueves"), but only for the annual May 1st public holiday.
