Bolivia's Minister of Labour, Daniel Santalla, has announced that, at its last meeting, the Bolivian Cabinet decided to approve the request of the Ministry of Tourism and declare additional year-end public holidays to link the upcoming Christmas Day and New Year's Day non-working public holidays with the preceding week-end.
Earlier this week (2012-12-04), Bolivia's Vice-Minister of Tourism had announced that his Ministry would ask the Bolivian Cabinet to declare additional year-end public holidays on Monday, December 24, and Monday, December 31, 2012, to link the upcoming Christmas Day and New Year's Day non-working public holidays with the preceding week-end.
