The government of the Ivory Coast, through its Minister of Communications, Bruno Kone, has announced that it had declared Monday, February 13, 2012, as a one-off non-working public holiday (jour férié et chômé sur toute l'étendue du territoire national).
As per the aforementioned announcement, the declaration of Monday, February 13, 2012, as a one-off non-working public holiday was made to allow fans to celebrate the national team's performance in reaching the finals in the recent African Cup of Nations football (soccer) championships.
