The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has announced that it had declared Saturday and Sunday, February 25 and 26, 2012, as non-working public holidays for the upcoming National Day and Liberation Day annual public holidays.
In addition, the aforementioned announcement states that, as February 25 falls on a weekend day in Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has declared Monday, February 27, 2012, as an additional non-working public sector holiday.
Recall that since the revision to the Kuwaiti Labour Law, 2 years ago (2010-02-22), the February 26, Liberation Day, public holiday, is now also a public holiday for the private sector. However, the declaration of day in lieu public holidays is still reserved for the public sector.
