The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that Monday, April 30, 2012, would not be an official non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan.
As per the official government announcement, the only non-working public holidays in May will be May 1 (Labour Day), May 5 (Constitution Day) and May 9 (Victory Day).
However, as per a statement by the press secretary of the Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Youth, Employment and Labour, Nurzhan Naizabekova, April 30, May 4 and May 8 are "pre-holiday days" in which the working day will be reduced by 1 hour.
