The President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, November 29, 2012, as a non-working public holiday to be observed throughout the Republic of Liberia as a national non-working public holiday marking the 117th Birth Anniversary of Liberia's 18th President William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman.

The aforementioned William Tubman public holiday was set aside as an annual non-working public holiday by an Act of the National Legislature during the 3rd Session of the 42nd Legislature of the Republic of Liberia.

Such last-minute re-confirmation of annual public holidays are a staple of the Liberian public holidays calendar (2012-10-31, 2012-07-23, 2011-11-01, 2011-04-06, 2010-11-03, 2010-07-23 and 2010-04-08).
