Morocco's Ministry of Religious Affairs ("ministère des Habous et des Affaires islamiques") has announced that, as the waxing lunar crescent had not been sighted tonight, the upcoming Hijri 1434 (Islamic New Year) non-working public holiday would be observed, in Morocco, on Friday, November 16, 2012.

As usual (11-Jan-2005), the upcoming Islamic New Year public holiday will last only one day.
