The Nepalese Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the government of Nepal had declared Wednesday and Thursday, March 7 and 8, 2012, as a non-working public holidays on account of the upcoming Holi/Fagu festival.
As per the aforementioned announcement, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, has been declared a non-working public holiday in the Kathmandu valley, and Thursday, March 8, 2012, as a non-working public holiday in the Tarai region of Nepal.
This is in line with published list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2069 (April 2012-April 2013), released earlier this year (2012-01-30).
