Panama November 2012 Public Holidays Changes

Panama's President, Ricardo Martinelli, has issued a decree (Decreto Ejecutivo 966 del 30 de octubre de 2012) which announced moved and additional non-working public holidays in Panama for the month of November 2012.

As per the aforementioned decree, the upcoming "Independencia de Panamá de España" annual non-working public holiday will be moved from Wednesday, November 28, 2012, to Monday, November 26, 2012, as could have been expected (2011-12-06 and 2007-12-30).

In addition, a half-day non-working public sector holiday will be given on Friday, November 2, 2012, beginning at noon ("Ordenan cierre de oficinas públicas y municipales el 2 de noviembre a partir de las 12 mediodía").
