Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, has issued the Government Decree of 15.10.2012 N 1048 "On the transfer of public holidays in 2013" (15 October 2012), officializing the recent draft RF Government Resolution which specified the list of official public holidays and bridge holidays in Russia for the upcoming calendar year 2013.
The aforementioned decree confirms the draft Government Resolution issued by the Russian Ministry of Labour late last month (2012-09-29).
However, in a peculiar twist, the aforementioned decree moves the expected February 25 day in lieu public holiday, to the beginning of May so that Russians will have non-working public holidays from May 1 to 5 and from May 9 to 12, 2013, thus addressing the multiples requests made over the years to move some of the non-working public holidays from the winter to the spring (2009-04-22 and 2008-11-16).
