The Government of Sierra Leone has announced that the date of the upcoming non-working public holiday for the Milad An-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) would be Saturday, February 4, 2012.

The aforementioned statement goes on to state that Monday, February 6, 2012, would also be observed as a national public holiday in Sierra Leone, as February 4, 2012, is on a weekend.

A similar declaration of a day in lieu public holiday was made at the end of last year (03-Nov-2011), when the Government of Sierra Leone announced that Monday, November 7, 2011, would automatically be observed as a national public holiday in Sierra Leone, as the 6th of November, 2011, the date of then upcoming Eid-Ul-Adah, was a Sunday.
