The government of Thailand has announced the date of the 2013 Royal Ploughing Ceremony non-working public holiday, thus completing the previously-released partial list of official non-working public holidays in Thailand for the upcoming calendar year 2013.

As per the aforementioned announcement, the 2013 Royal Ploughing Ceremony non-working public holiday will be observed on Monday, May 13, 2013. This completes the previously-released partial list of 2013 public holidays in Thailand which was released a couple of months ago (2012-09-26).

This is the second year (2011-12-08) that the Royal Ploughing Ceremony public holiday is announced well in advance. Previously, the Royal Ploughing Ceremony public holiday was usually declared (2009-04-26) a couple of weeks before the actual event, months after the remainder of the list of Thai non-working public holidays had been announced (2011-08-20 and 2010-08-27).
