Vietnamese President, Truong Tan Sang, has promulgated the recently-voted revised Labour Code and its amendments to the official list of non-working public holidays in Vietnam.
The aforementioned new Labour Code, being negotiated for the last few years (2010-03-22 and 2009-11-16), was adopted at the third session of the 13th National Assembly (2012-06-21), and will take effect on May 1st, 2013.
One of its salient points, introduced in the 4th and final draft (2011-10-03) is the extension of the annual Tet Vietnamese non-working public holidays from 4 to 5 days.
