The Algerian direction générale de la Fonction publique has announced that Friday, November 1st, 2013, had been declared a non-working public holiday, on account of the upcoming "fête de la Révolution".
The aforementioned announcement applies to the public sector ("chômée et payée pour l'ensemble des personnels des institutions et administrations publiques y compris les personnels payés à l'heure ou à la journée") and is in line with the current legislation regulating non-working public holidays in Algeria ("loi n° 63-278 du 26 juillet 1963 modifiée et complétée fixant la liste des fêtes légales").
