Azerbaijan's Parliament has approved amendments to the electoral code of Azerbaijan which declare the date of future elections as one-off electoral non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan.

In addition, as per the aforementioned amendments, "if the election falls on holiday, it will be replaced by the Central Election Commission by another working day of the month... to regulate the citizens' right to rest".

In the past (01-Oct-2011 and 11-Dec-2009), some municipal elections were declared as one-off, non-working, electoral public holidays in Azerbaijan.
