Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee has announced that it had not sighted the New Moon crescent tonight and, therefore, that the upcoming Ashura, and related public holiday, would be observed across the country on Friday, November 15, 2013, instead of the previously-announced date of Thursday, November 14, 2013.
The aforementioned announcement represents a change by one day of the Ashura public holiday in Bangladesh as compared to the date announced in the "Holidays during 2013. DFIM Circular No. 09. 29/11/12" (2012-11-30) of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh which announced the official list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2013.
