The Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan has announced that Wednesday, March 20, 2013, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan on the occasion of the first occurrence of the United Nations' International Day of Happiness.
The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, March 20, 2013, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan, had been under consideration ever since the United Nation's declared March 20 as a new annual observance for the International Day of Happiness (2012-07-06), and is in addition to the official list of national and regional non-working public holidays in Bhutan for the calendar year 2013, released last fall (2012-10-12) by the Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan.
