Bolivia's Minister of Labour, Juan López, has announced that the Government of Bolivia has decided not to declare a one-off bridge public holiday on Monday, August 5, 2013, but instead to declare a continuous day ("se tendrá horario continuo en el sector público") for the public sector of Bolivia so that it may finish work at 16:00 (4pm) ahead of the annual August 6 Bolivian public holiday.

Earlier this week (2013-08-01), Minister of Labour, Juan López, had announced that the Government of Bolivia was considering extending the upcoming August 6 public holiday to Monday, August 5, 2013.

Bolivia often (2012-04-28), though not always (2012-10-29), declares a Monday or Friday one-off bridge public holiday when an annual fixed-date public holiday falls on a Tuesday or Friday.
