The Premier of Canada's Province of Saskatchewan, Brad Wall, has announced that he was not "vested with the authority" to declare a one-off provincial non-working public holiday to commemorate the Roughriders winning the western final of the upcoming Grey Cup in Calgary.

Premier wall did, however, declare Friday, November 22, 2013, as "Green Day", for "everyone to show their Rider pride and wear green this Friday".
