Costa Rica's Minister of Labour has confirmed that the upcoming Día Internacional del Trabajador non-working public holiday would be observed on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013, as per the current public holidays legislation of Costa Rica.
A decade ago (2005-03-17), legislation passed by the Abel Pacheco administration specified that 4 public holidays would move from mid-week to the following Monday (April 11, July 25, August 15, and October 12). But, the May 1st, annual non-working public holiday was never part of that list.
