Earlier today, Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, issued a circular decreeing another one-off non-working public holiday in Jordan for tomorrow, Sunday, December 15, 2013, due to freezing weather conditions stemming from a polar front which has snowed-in the country since Thursday.

Earlier in the week (11-Dec-2013), a one-off non-working public holiday had already been declared for Thursday, December 12, 2013, in expectation of heavy snow for Thursday and most of the weekend.

Earlier this year (09-Jan-2013 and 08-Jan-2013), Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, had twice issued a circular decreeing one-off non-working public holidays in Jordan on Wednesday and Thursday, January 9 and 10, 2013, also due to freezing weather conditions.

Announcement of weather-related non-working public holidays in Jordan have occurred in the past (31-Jan-2008 and 30-Jan-2008).
