The Chief Minister of Malaysia's State of Kelantan, Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat, has also declared a one-off public holiday, on May 5, 2013, as had recently been suggested, for the upcoming national general elections.
Yesterday (2013-04-17), the Chief Minister of Malaysia's State of Terengganu, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, had announced that a one-off public holiday, on May 5, 2013, was expected to soon be declared for the State of Terengganu, as had recently been suggested, for the upcoming general elections.
Last week (2013-04-10), the caretaker Chief Minister of Malaysia's State of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, had called on the Malaysian states in which Sunday is not a weekly non-working day (Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu), to declare Sunday, May 5, 2013, as a one-off non-working public holiday on account of the upcoming general elections.
