The Kuwaiti Civil Service Commission has announced the dates of the upcoming Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) non-working public holidays in Kuwait for the private sector and the public sector.
As per the aforementioned announcement, after a 5-day period of public holidays for last year's Eid Al-Adha (2012-10-15), the Kuwaiti public service will benefit from 9 consecutive days of non-working public sector holidays, from October 11-19, as Sunday, October 13, 2013, was declared as an additional non-working public sector holiday to link Arafat Day with the preceding weekend.
As regards the Kuwaiti private sector, the aforementioned announcement states that "Private establishments have been exempt from the decision" and most of the Kuwaiti private sector will only get 2 days of non-working public holidays for the upcoming Eid Al-Adha; namely Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, 2013.
