The President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has issued a proclamation declaring Friday, March 15, 2013, as a non-working public holiday to be observed throughout the Republic of Liberia as a national non-working public holiday marking the 204th Birth Anniversary of Liberia's first President Joseph Jenkins Roberts.

The aforementioned J.J. Roberts public holiday was set aside as an annual non-working public holiday by an Act passed by the Third Session of the 42nd National Legislature of the Republic of Liberia.

Such last-minute re-confirmation of annual public holidays are a staple of the Liberian public holidays calendar (2012-11-27, 2012-10-31, 2012-07-23, 2011-11-01, 2011-04-06, 2010-11-03, 2010-07-23 and 2010-04-08).
