A bill has been submitted to the Speaker of Mongolia's Parliament, Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, to extend the annual Lunar New Year public holidays (Tsagaan Sar) into 3 consecutive days of annual public holidays in Mongolia.

The last time a new annual non-working public holiday was added to the list of official public holidays of Mongolia was last fall (2012-11-08), when the Mongolian Parliament approved the addition of a new annual public holiday in Mongolia to commemorate the birthday of Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan).
