The recently-submitted bill to extend the annual Lunar New Year public holidays (Tsagaan Sar) in Mongolia to the third day of the Lunar New Year, has been considered and approved by the Standing Committee on State Structure.
The aforementioned bill had been submitted to the Speaker of Mongolia's Parliament, Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, late last summer (2013-09-18), and will now be reviewed by the Parliament of Mongolia during its upcoming session meetings.
The last time a new annual non-working public holiday was added to the list of official public holidays of Mongolia was last fall (2012-11-08), when the Mongolian Parliament approved the addition of a new annual public holiday in Mongolia to commemorate the birthday of Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan).
