Oman Hijri 1435 Public Holiday Dates Announced

Oman's minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al-Busaidi, has announced that the date of the previously-announced non-working public holiday for the Hijri New Year 1435 would be Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

As per last week's announcement (2013-10-31), the non-working public holiday on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, will be "an official holiday for the employees of the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the State's administrative apparatus" and a related announcement by Oman's Minister of Manpower, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al-Bakri, "the 1st of Muharram 1435 AH will be an official holiday for employees at the private sector's companies and establishments".
