Pakistan's Ministry of Interior, in consultation with Karachi's Meteorological Department, has issued the expected dates for non-working public holidays and optional holidays for the calendar year 2013 in Pakistan.

The aforementioned announcement continues, for the 4th year (2012-01-15, 2011-01-03 and 2009-12-24), the reduction of the Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) Muslim public holiday from 4 days (2009-11-20 and 2008-12-31) to the 2-day public holidays that was the norm before 2008 (2006-12-16).

Note that as the aforementioned announcement comes later than usual, there have already been some ad hoc changes to the 2013 public holidays in Pakistan, as we reported last month (2013-01-14, 2013-01-23, and 2013-01-23).
