The Federal Government of Pakistan has announced that Thursday, August 22, 2013, had also been declared a one-off non-working public holiday in 33 districts across Pakistan, on account of that date's by-elections.
Yesterday (2013-08-20), the Federal Government of Pakistan had announced that Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22, 2013, had been declared one-off non-working public holidays in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, on account of the upcoming by-elections.
The date of previous elections has on occasion been declared a one-off non-working public holiday throughout Pakistan (2013-05-08, 2008-08-22 and 2002-09-10).
