The Government of Portugal has announced the traditional year-end non-working public sector holidays (tolerância de ponto) in Portugal as Tuesday, December 24, 2013, and the afternoon of Tuesday, December 31, 2013.
Last year (2012-12-01), the Government of Portugal has announced that the full days of Monday, December 24, 2012, and Monday, December 31, 2012, had been declared as one-off non-working public sector holidays (tolerância de ponto), and 2 years before (2010-12-22), the Prime Minister of Portugal, José Sócrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa, had likewise published a decree declaring Friday, December 24, 2010, and Friday, December 31, 2010, as public sector holidays (tolerância de ponto).
