The Commission tasked with revising the Romanian Constitution has submitted a draft for approval to the Romanian Parliament which rules-out the addition of a new annual non-working public holiday in Romania on May 10.

As per the aforementioned commission's statement, "Romania's national day is celebrated on December 1, the day that marks Romania's unification, in 1918" and therefore, the 2014 public holidays in Romania remain as they were announced, earlier this year (2013-02-25).
