The Government of Somaliland has announced that Monday, November 4, 2013, would be a non-working public holiday in Somaliland to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1435.

Note that Somaliland observes Islamic New Year as a public holiday, while the rest of Somalia does not. However, the rest of Somalia observes Ashura, 9 days later, as a public holiday, while Somaliland does not.
