The Directorate General of Personnel Administration has released its official annual calendar of official non-working public holidays in Taiwan for the upcoming calendar year 2014.

As usual (2012-11-26, 2011-09-29, 2010-12-16, 2009-08-17, 2008-11-21, 2007-09-13, 2006-11-20, 2005-11-21, 2004-11-25, 2003-11-04, 2002-11-26, 2001-11-26 and 2000-12-01) these public holidays are subdivided into many categories: Weekends, Statutory and general national holidays, Particular Parties' Days, Makeup holidays, and days in lieu ("Adjusts to holiday" and "Adjusts to work" dates).

The announced 2014 public holidays in Taiwan will see the annual Lunar New Year public holidays run from January 30 to February 4, 2014, inclusively, 3 days fewer than the previous year (2012-11-26).

Note that the aforementioned announced list of official non-working public holidays in Taiwan for the upcoming calendar year 2014 comes much earlier in the year than in the past, due new regulations adopted in March 2013, whereby the Directorate General of Personnel Administration is obligated to make public the national holiday calendar for following year before June 1st of the previous year.
