The UAE Cabinet has announced revised dates for the upcoming 2-day National Day non-working public sector holiday in the UAE.
At a Cabinet meeting, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, it was announced that the UAE public sector would be on holidays on December 1 and 2, 2013, instead of the expected dates of December 2 and 3.
In a separate announcement, the UAE's Minister of Labour, Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, has in turn announced that Sunday, December 1, 2013, would be the date of the non-working private sector public holiday marking of the upcoming UAE National Day.
As was the case last year (2012-11-27 and 2012-11-22), the private sector of the UAE gets one day of public holidays less than the public sector for the UAE National Day non-working public holidays.
