The Venezuelan Minister of the Interior and Justice, Nestor Reverol, has announced that tomorrow, Friday, March 8, 2013, would be extended to be a nationwide non-working public holiday to coincide with the funeral of former President Hugo Chavez.
As per the aforementioned statement ("Por instrucciones del vicepresidente Nicolás Maduro se publicará un decreto en el que se declarará el día de mañana como no laborable") the non-working bank holiday declared earlier today (2013-03-07) by the Venezuelan regulatory body for the banking sector (Sudeban) has been expanded to be a nationwide non-working public holiday in Venezuela.
