Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree declaring Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, 2014, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of this year's annual Gurban Bayram (Feast of Sacrifice, or Eid al-Adha) public holidays in Azerbaijan.

The aforementioned declaration of Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, 2014, as non-working public holidays on account of this year's Gurban Bayram is in line with the list of 2014 public holidays in Azerbaijan which was published late last year (17-Dec-2013).

As per the Labor Code amendments of a decade ago (30-Dec-2005), to compensate the fact that this year's annual Gurban Bayram public holidays in Azerbaijan will fall on a weekend, Monday and Tuesday, October 6 and 7, 2014, have also been declared non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan.
