The Central Bank of Bahrain has announced that it would declare a bank holiday on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in line with the recently-announced non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual public holiday for the Islamic New Year 1436, as well as add a compensatory bank holiday on Sunday, October 26, 2014.
The aforementioned announcement follows an earlier release (2014-10-23) by Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, of a circular declaring Saturday, October 25, 2014, as a non-working public holiday in Bahrain to mark the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1436 public holiday, as well as Sunday, October 26, 2014, as compensation public holiday for Bahrain's public sector.
