The National Assembly of Bhutan has approved a proposal by Bhutan's Home Minister, Damchoe Dorji, to move the newly-declared March 20 non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan in observance of the United Nations' International Day of Happiness, to November 11, the date of the Anniversary of the 4th Druk Gyalpo.

Last year (15-Mar-2013), the Government of Bhutan had announced that March 20 would be a new annual non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan on the occasion of the first occurrence of the United Nations' International Day of Happiness (06-Jul-2012).
