The Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan has released its annual official list of national and regional non-working public holidays in Bhutan for the upcoming calendar year 2015, comprising the end of the Year of the Wood Male Horse and most of the Year of the Wood Female Sheep.
The announced list of 2015 public holidays in Bhutan confirms, again (2013-11-15, 2012-10-12, 2012-01-04, 2010-11-05 and 2010-01-13), the re-instatement of the Thrue Bab (Blessed Rainy Day) national public holiday (2009-09-16) that had been canceled a few years before (2007-01-03), although it seems to have been moved by a day as compared to our calculations, probably to avoid a conflict with the Thimphu Tshechu, as well as the more recent move of the March 20 non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan in observance of the United Nations' International Day of Happiness, to November 11, the date of the Anniversary of the 4th Druk Gyalpo (2014-01-30, 2013-03-15 and 2012-07-06).
