Cambodia's Prime Minister has signed the Cambodian Royal Government's sub-decree Nº 248 - Prakas Nº 248 Kor.Bor/Bror.Kor establishing Cambodia's annual list of official non-working public holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2015.

Contrary to previous custom (2013-10-28, 2012-10-23, 2011-10-16, 2010-09-03, 2009-08-25, 2008-09-22 and 2007-08-03), the aforementioned decree stipulates that "[for] any public holidays which overlap with Sunday, the following Monday will be substituted", instead of "Saturday or Sunday".

The list of official public holidays for 2015 in Cambodia once again includes the June 1st, "International and Cambodian Children's Day", which was introduced a few years ago (2010-09-03).

Additionally, the aforementioned decree maintains October 23 as a non-working public holiday in Cambodia to commemorate the Paris Peace Agreements of 1991, as well as the new October 15 non-working public holiday, added last year to mark the death of the King Father (2012-10-23).

The October 23 non-working public holiday in Cambodia had previously been canceled in the mid-2000's (2005-09-15) in order to promote January 7 as National Liberation Day, which marks the toppling of the Khmer Rouge in 1979.
