Ghana's Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, acting as President of the Republic, has announced that Monday, October 6, 2014, had been declared as the date of the 2014 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday in Ghana.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, October 6, 2014, as the date of the 2014 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) non-working public holiday in Ghana marks a departure with past announcements (2013-10-11, 2013-08-05, 2012-10-22, 2012-08-16, 2011-08-26,2008-09-25,2007-12-15, 2010-09-07, 2009-09-15, 2008-12-03 and 2007-10-10) and in particular with the list of official 2014 public holidays in Ghana, as announced earlier this year (2014-01-02), by declaring Monday, October 6, 2014, as an additional day in lieu non-working public holiday in Ghana, as the date of the 2014 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) falls on Saturday, October 4, this year.
