The Government of Lithuania has announced the annual dates of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Lithuania for the calendar year 2014.
The aforementioned announcement confirms the 2010 declaration of December 24, Christmas Eve, as a new annual public holiday in Lithuania (2010-12-13).
The practice of declaring bridge public holidays, compensated by working Saturdays, begun in 2005 (2005-10-17), barely maintained 3 years ago (2010-12-29), and not applied for the 2 subsequent years (2013-01-08 and 2012-01-04), seems to have been abandoned for good.
