The Federal Government of Pakistan has once again amended the dates for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays throughout Pakistan for the calendar year 2014.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the upcoming 2014 Eid-ul-Fitr public sector holidays in Pakistan will run from Tuesday, July 29, to Friday, August 1, 2014, which is a day longer than what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2014" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (2014-01-09).
Contrary to what happened for the past 2 years (2013-07-31 and 2012-08-09), but in line with what happened in preceding years (2011-08-25 and 2010-09-05), the Government of Pakistan thus extended the duration of the upcoming 2014 Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays in Pakistan for "all the ministries, divisions, government and semi-government departments and autonomous functionaries".
