The Governor-General of Papua New Guinea, Michael Ogio, has released the annual gazetted official list of appointed non-working public holidays in Papua New Guinea for the upcoming calendar year 2015.
The aforementioned announcement of official Papua New Guinea public holidays for the calendar year 2015 is contained in the "PNG National Gazette No.G353", and as usual (2014-01-07, 2012-08-25, 2011-08-07, 2010-10-26, 2009-10-08, 2006-10-13, 2003-07-07 and 2000-08-15) announces day in lieu public holidays, if applicable, though it does contain an odd date of the 2015 Queen's Birthday public holiday.
For a 4th consecutive year, the aforementioned 2015 official list of Papua New Guinea non-working public holidays includes an annual non-working public holiday (2014-01-07, 2012-08-25, 2011-08-19 and 2012-08-21), the National Day of Repentance, to be observed annually on August 26.
