The Governor of the Philippines' Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Mujiv Hataman, has announced that the date of the upcoming Amon Jaded (Islamic New Year 1436) annual non-working public holiday in the Philippines' ARMM, would be Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Based on his authority to declare regional non-working public holidays in the ARMM (as well as Lanao del Norte, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, in parts of the Zamboanga peninsula and in the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian and Zamboanga), Governor Mujiv Hataman declared Saturday, October 25, 2014, a non-working public holiday.

The Philippines observe 2 Islamic annual non-working public holidays, the End of Ramadan and the Feast of Sacrifice (2014-09-16 and 2014-07-14) at the national level, but in addition, the ARMM also observes the Prophet's Birthday (2014-01-11), the Prophet's Ascension, and Islamic New Year, in the ARMM, as a regional non-working public holiday.
