Tonga's Prime Minister's Office has issued a communiqué ("Christmas Vacation 2014/2015 for the Public Service") announcing that the Cabinet of the Government of Tonga had once again declared a 2-week period of additional public sector holidays in Tonga, from Monday, December 22, 2014, until Friday, January 2, 2015, inclusively.
The aforementioned 2-week period of additional public sector holidays in Tonga, from Monday, December 22, 2014, until Friday, January 2, 2015, inclusively ("This means that normal Government services will close at 4:30 pm, Friday, December 19, 2014. Government will break for the Christmas and New Year holidays, and will resume normal business hours at 8:30 am, Monday, January 5, 2015"), are in addition to the list of 2014 and 2015 non-working public holidays in Tonga which were previously announced (2014-12-20 and 2014-01-02).
A similar 2-week period of non-working public sector holidays was declared last year (2013-11-22).
