The Government of Armenia has announced that Monday, September 14, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday in Armenia, on account of the upcoming Exaltation of the Holy Cross feast, to be compensated by declaring Saturday, September 19, 2015, as a regular working day in Armenia.
Earlier this year (2015-02-24) when it released the list of official public holidays in Armenia for the calendar year 2015, the government of Armenia had announced that it would no longer declare a non-working public holiday in Armenia for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church.
However, less than 2 months later (2015-04-02), the Armenian government did a u-turn and declared that Monday, April 6, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday in Armenia, on account of the upcoming "Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ".
This was repeated a few months later (2015-07-11), when the Government of Armenia announced that Monday, July 13, 2015, would be a non-working public holiday in Armenia, on account of the upcoming Vardavar (Transfiguration) feast.
