The Chief Minister's Office of Australia's Capital Territory (ACT) has released its annual list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar year 2017.

After 3 years of continuity (2012-04-10, 2011-03-02 and 2010-07-26) in the method of determining the date of the Family and Community Day public holiday (2007-07-30) which was modified 5 years ago (2009-10-16), the aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar year 2017, once again (2015-01-21) deviates from that rule, based on the rule "the first Monday in the September/October school holidays".

The aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays to be observed in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Australia, during the calendar year 2017, also confirms, again (2015-11-17), the declaration of Easter Sunday an official public holiday in the ACT (2015-10-31).
