Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has officially confirmed its previously-released list of year-end public holidays to run from Thursday, December 31, 2015, to Monday, January 4, 2016, inclusively, on account of the upcoming annual "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis" and "Western New Year" annual official non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan.

Last month (2015-11-03), Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers had made a public holidays announcement, for the period of Thursday, December 31, 2015, to Monday, January 4, 2016, inclusively, being declared as official non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of the upcoming annual "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis" and "Western New Year" public holidays.

That declaration of the period of Thursday, December 31, 2015, to Monday, January 4, 2016, inclusively, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, was in line with the official list of 2015 non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, which was published late last year (2014-11-25) which itself was based on Article 105 of the Labor Code of Azerbaijan as it relates to the list of official non-working public holidays (2005-12-30).

Last year (2014-11-04), the period of Wednesday, December 31, 2014, to Sunday, January 5, 2015, inclusively, had also been declared as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan (2014-11-04), and two years ago (2013-12-11), Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers had extended its year-end public holidays from Tuesday, December 31, 2013, to Monday, January 6, 2014, inclusively, with the additional non-working public holidays thus announced for Friday, January 3, and Monday, January 6, 2014, being compensated by Saturday and Sunday, December 28 and 29, 2013, having been declared as regular working days in Azerbaijan.
