Bolivia Dakar Public Holiday January 12

Bolivia's President, Evo Morales, following yesterday's cabinet meeting, has decided to go ahead and declare Monday, January 12, 2015, as a one-off non-working public holiday on the occasion of the 3rd day in Bolivia of the upcoming Dakar automobile rally.

Last month (13-Dec-2014), Bolivia's President, Evo Morales, has indicated that the Bolivian government was considering the declaration of Monday, January 12, 2015, as a one-off non-working public holiday on the occasion of the 3rd day in Bolivia of the upcoming Dakar automobile rally ("Estamos revisando las fechas que va a pasar por Bolivia, 10, 11, 12 (de enero). El 12 es día lunes, no sé si vamos a declarar feriado con suspensión de actividades para que el pueblo pueda acompañar a nuestros corredores y ver el paso por Bolivia del Dakar").
